There is this myth out there that as light workers, teachers, healers or spiritual people that you need to be "high vibe" and positive all the time and this just isn't true!
It isn't real and it is totally exhausting!
I strongly believe that having a fully human experience means that it needs to run the gamut of emotions and it is important for us to feel every single one.
And every once and a while, no matter how awesome you are feeling on your journey, you'll run across a situation, a person, or event that is negative and a little complex.
There are those times when others may projects their unhappiness, their anger or frustration onto you or moments when some one else attempts to make you feel small due to their own suffering.
Their actions may trigger your own reactions too.
(I've so been there myself!)
So when this happens, what do we do?
How do we process our own "stuff", get clear and raise our vibration after encountering something that feels not so good?
Today I'd like to share some of my top tips for dealing with low vibrations and they may not all be what you expect!
First things first. Remove yourself. There are going to be times where continuing a conversation or remaining in the situation is just not moving you forward. Love yourself enough to remove yourself for reflection, then resume the conversation later if needed.
This is a hard one. But just sometimes the Universe is reflecting back at us something we need to deal with or one of our own triggers that we need to acknowledge.
Is there a reason why this person is making us feel this way?
Is there a lesson that we need to learn right now from this situation?
Take a step back without judgement to see if there is anything inside you need to look at.
It is always great to have support so make sure to express yourself and let it out. Sometimes talking to some one else gives us the clarity we need and getting feedback can sometimes be helpful too.
Talk about it BUT make sure not to dwell on the situation too long.
Like attracts like right?
Low vibes will attract low vibes.
Imagine the feeling you'd like to have and get clarity on how you will get there.
Let it out and move on.
This is another great way to move toward clarity when you are ready to do so.
Sometimes sitting down to meditate isn't the first thing you'll want to do, but clearing your mind and moving your focus toward the breath can immediately bring you in the space of a higher vibration.
Meditation, even for just a few minutes, will slow the mind and allow you to bring yourself closer to understanding your own feelings, thoughts and triggers.
It is one step closer to returning to your inner peace.
Essential oils can affect the senses and body systems to alter mood, behavior and emotions.
You can diffuse them or even wear them topically to gain their benefits and in situations of energy management, they can be wonderful support.
Here are my top three for dealing with and releasing low vibration people and situations.
Forgive blend:
This doTERRA blend is amazingly powerful and one that I personally use often. This is a great blend to assist in helping you forgive the person who may be operating in a lower vibration, but also to forgive yourself too if you reacted in a way that didn't feel in alignment with you.
Self love and forgiveness is SO important!
Clary Sage:
Clary sage is a great cleanser and calmer. We you feel ready to cleanse the space around you, clear your thought patterns and stop ruminating on the situation it can be a wonderful help.
Use it in a spray and spray the room, diffuse it, even just smelling it from the bottle can be beneficial to "reset".
Wild Orange:
Wild orange is an oil of positivity and high vibration, as well as an oil of abundance. Take some time to inhale this oil and remember to be grateful for all the lessons.
Abundance is created from gratitude and recognizing all that good that is already in your life.
(Plus it is hard to smell orange and be grumpy. Try it. I dare you!)
And lastly, send out compassion to the person that might have hurt you.
This step should only be done when YOU are ready to....and it can take time.
The only way to release is when you are whole heartedly ready to let go completely and send love the other person's way.
Remember, love is the highest vibration!

Intuition is inside every one of us. Like any skill it can be honed, developed and nourished if we take the time to do so.
Call it your inner voice, your gut, inner wisdom....it is all inside of you!
Crystals are a wonderful way to enhance your intuition. They have been here on earth millions of years and hold their own wisdom to share with us if we really feel and listen. Their energy can support our intentions and we can use them numerous ways.
Here are my top crystals for developing your own intuition. You can wear them, meditate with them or keep them nearby. All of these will support you on your journey no matter which you choose!
Moonstone is often associated with Divine feminine energy. It is called moonstone for it's similar appearance to that of the moon. It is a tranquil and soothing stone that nourishes the Goddess energy within, so that you can connect deeper with your own inner wisdom.
Kyanite is a unique stone and perfect for developing one's intuition. It doesn't hold negative energy and "self-cleanses" so it is always ready to work for you. It clears blockages and enhances meditation.
Perfect for giving clarity to any situation and offering high vibrations. Crystal quartz is an extremely versatile gemstone that amplifies the energy of what surrounds it. It offers a clear view and positive energy so that you can easily look within.
Labradorite is a gorgeous stone with flashing iridescence. It can be used to enhance your intuition, support you through transformation and even clear blockages in the chakras to align and balance your energy.
Amethyst is beloved by many, and for good reason! Not only is this stone super calming and promotes harmony, but it can activate the crown chakra as well. This stone is gentle, but can open you up to a deeper experience with your own inner guide.
I hope that you will use some of these crystals on your journey. These are just a few that will help you nourish your intuitive abilities and get you on your way.
Make sure to experiment with what feels good for you! Remember, there is no right or wrong way and if other crystals feel even better, then go with your feelings about them.
Let your intuition guide you. (Wink Wink.)

Sacred geometry.
Science? Mystery? A little of both?
Sacred geometry are the building blocks of the world we live in, they are the foundation of our Universe.
From the fibonacci sequence, the golden mean, pyramids, to fractals….it can all seem so complex and amazing.
As I was creating my Flower of Life pendant, it brought me deeper into the beauty and grace of sacred geometry. I was always drawn to it, but why?
From the basic cells in our bodies to the complex structures of the universe, these mathematical principles apply.
I wanted to cover some of the most popular sacred geometry in this article so that you can explore them as well!
This beautiful pattern is a universal symbol found just about everywhere and associated with many different beliefs and cultures.
Inside the very design is a dot, symbolizing “the beginning” and from many circles spiraling outward other patterns and designs are also created.
From this Flower of Life we can also see the “seed”, “egg” and “fruit” of life which are variations on this pattern.
Inside the Flower of Life you can also see Metatron's cube, a merkaba, fibonacci sequence and more!
It is even said that there is a kind of Akashic record associated with it! Like a shorthand of Cosmic memory.
This is another sacred geometrical pattern with so much richness!
Mythically, Metatron was originally human but was transformed to an archangel. He was believed to be the communicator between the heavenly realm and humans.
Interestingly, the word “Metator" is latin for a guide or measurer, and ‘Metatron’ can also refer to the crown in the Kabbalah ‘Tree’ or ‘Keter’.
And what is even more amazing?
The Kabbalah Tree is based on the ‘Flower of Life’!
Therefore, Metatron's Cube is a structure born from the flower of life as well! It can represent our grid of consciousness and the building blocks of the Cosmos. It has been described as the matrix of our 3-dimensional reality.
The Sri Yantra is found in the Shri Vidya school of Hindu Tantra. It is another beautiful and mystical diagram created from nine interlocking triangles. These triangles radiate from a single point (Bindu).
The four triangles pointing upwards represent Masculine (Shiva) and the five pointing downward symbolize the Divine Feminine (Shakti).
It has been said that the great sages suggested that this is the key to mastering the science of manifestation. It represents the microcosm of the human body and the macrocosm of the perfect harmony of the Universe, and has even appeared to self-realized Yogis in a samadhic state.
Whatever patterns you are drawn to, it is all an expression of us, the Universe and of the wisdom within.
No wonder we can be drawn to draw, use, and meditate with these symbols!
I will be writing about easy ways to use sacred geometry for balance and focus in a future post so stay tuned!
Love sacred geometry?
]]>Smudging is a beautiful way to cleanse your space, clear your energy and invite high vibrations into your life.
It is the ceremonial burning of herbs or incense to clear the space of negative or "stuck" energy. Some popular smudging herbs are white sage, palo santo, cedar, sweetgrass and lavender to name just a few!
Recently, the ancient art of smudging has been scientifically studied and it has been suggested that it reduces toxins and bacteria in the air for a healthier environment too!
Science or spirituality aside, smudging has been practiced for generations and it can raise your vibrations and open your space to more clarity and abundance through cleansing.
You can smudge for many different reasons. Here are just a few ways smudging can offer it's benefits.
1. To cleanse your space.
You can smudge after an argument, illness or a traumatic event. You can even smudge when you just move into a new home or any new space that you will be occupying for a length of time. Smudging your space can clear the environment of any residual energy and let you start with a blank slate.
2. To purify yourself.
Smudging yourself can be part of a personal ceremony or ritual where you purify yourself as well. This can increase clarity and balance and assist you in creating a high vibration for your spiritual practice, whatever it may be!
3. To cleanse an object.
You can also smudge to cleanse an object such as your crystals, statues, altar or mala beads too! This leaves it clear of any residual negativity that might have been there from those who previously handled the object. It will be ready to work its highest good for you!
There are different rituals and traditions when it comes to smudging so always do what feels right to you and what resonates.
For me, there are a few main components to successful smudging.
1. Create a sacred space.
First, before you begin create a calm and quiet space. Set aside time where you will not be rushed and that you can give your full attention to your ritual without distraction.
2. Set your intention.
If you are smudging your home to cleanse it, say your intention for this ritual out loud (or in your mind). You can ask for blessings, or simply say that your intention is to clear this space of any negative energy so that you may live your highest good. You can recite a mantra or simple affirmation before or for the duration of your ritual.
3. Don't forget corners!
If you are cleansing a room, be sure to get the cleansing smoke in doorways, around windows and crevices where energy stagnates.
4. Honor the elements and complete your ritual.
Very often the burning of sage or other smudging materials are accompanied by an abalone shell. The shell will not only serve as a beautiful way to catch the embers, but can also represent the element of water completing the 4 elements.
Sage is grown from the earth and therefore represents the earthly plane, the burning of the sage is fire, the cleansing smoke is the air and the shell, water.
You may offer some words of gratitude for these elements to the Universe, Mother Earth or whatever feels good for you as you finish.
Once you feel finished smudging, you can let the embers die out on the sage stick after placing it in the abalone shell. (Please never leave your burning sage unattended and always be sure that it is indeed put out!)
That's it! Simply enjoy the benefits of this ancient practice!

Malas are sacred objects of focus and divine communication and they have become ever popular in the yoga communities to support our intentions and practices.
Even if you have a regular mala practice, you may not have heard of all the different parts of your mala beads or why malas are created the way they are.
Here is a quick little infographic explaining the various parts of the mala and some of their symbolic meanings!
Use the buttons below to share, pin and post to spread the mala love!
]]>
Malas are beautiful and personal tools that not only count your mantra and focus energy but they can assist in manifesting your intentions.
Activating your mala beads is a lovely way to bond with them. It can set a clear intention for your beads and have them align with your unique energy.
Think of it as "powering up" the goodness just for your practice!
There are so many ways you can do this, but I find the below ritual to work best.
First, you will want to prepare a peaceful place.
Light a candle, play soothing music. Do things that help you ready the space to set your intentions. If you have a sacred space already, you can sit there with your mala.
You have now "activated" your mala! Use it an enjoy it knowing you have created a strong intention for your practice.
]]>
Mala beads are beautiful sacred tools to assist you in focusing your attention and enhance your meditation practice. Malas are created from natural materials such as rudraksha seed, bodhi seed as well as gemstones.
If you have a mala, sometimes you might feel the need to "reset" your mala, or cleanse your mala from negative energy or even another person's energy after general handling of your mala.
Cleansing your mala is a very personal choice and there are various ways you can do it. Choose what method feels best for you. Below are just a few of the methods you may use to cleanse your mala.
The sun offers wonderful healing and positive energy. You can use the sun to cleanse your mala whenever you choose. Simply leave your mala outside to bask in the sunlight for several hours or all day. (Just be sure it is in a safe place of course!)
The energy of the moon is equally powerful! You may also use lunar energy to cleanse your mala beads and set out your mala during a full or new moon for cleansing. You can leave it outside or on a windowsill to experience the effects of the moon. Leave it overnight or a few days for greatest benefit.
Smudging is a type of cleansing with the smoke of an herb like sage or palo santo. Light your smudge stick and state your intention to cleanse your mala beads. Hold your mala in your hand and wave the smudge stick, allowing the smoke to envelop the mala. Do this as long as feels good for you and be sure to put the smudge stick out completely upon completion.
You can also use your own energy to cleanse your mala. (Yes, you are powerful too!! )
Find a quiet space to sit and lay your mala out in front of you, preferably on a clean cloth. Take several deep breaths to quiet the mind with the mala in front of you. You can visualize a beautiful white light surrounding the mala with your eyes closed or open.
Visualize the mala being cleansed by this beautiful light of pure love. Focus for as long as you can on this energy or as long as you feel like your mala might need it. You will know when you are ready to stop.
Once again, there is no one right way to cleanse your mala beads. Trust your intuition and let it guide you. You might want to try one (or all!) of these methods to see which feels best for you. Most of all, keep using your mala beads for your highest good!

Creating a sacred space can be one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself and your practice. (And even if you don't have a meditation practice, you can still benefit from dedicating a space for peace.)
The process doesn't need to be complicated or expensive, or even require a lot of work! It is quite easy to invite beautiful energy into your home.
Choose a space that is a more secluded part of the home, or you know that you can close a door and be undisturbed for a period of time.
Your space could be an entire room, a corner of a room, a simple shelf or even a windowsill. It can be indoors or outdoors, depending on what feels good for you!
Because this is your space, choose items that resonate with you to decorate it. Your space is meant to be a solace, an inspiration, and a refuge. Choose furnishings and decor that have meaning for you and nurture your intentions.
You can decorate your space with items from nature, inspiring statues, plants, crystals, flowers, feathers or other decorative items. Be sure not to over clutter your space, but mindfully choose a small collection of items that feel good to look upon and be around.
Design your space with the senses in mind. For example, you could choose cushions that are soft and pleasurable to the touch. Try incense or candles with soothing scents. You can even play peaceful music or chanting in your sacred space before, during or after your meditation. Decorate the area with visuals that inspire and uplift you of goddesses, mandalas and mantras. You can even enjoy some relaxing tea for your taste buds before or after meditation or hatha yoga.
It feels wonderful to clear your space occasionally of any stagnant or negative energy. You can use sage to "smudge" your space or burn incense. Simply burn your sage or incense and walk about the room spreading the smoke with the dedicated intention of clearing it of negative energy, paying close attention to doors, windows and corners. Having crystal quartz around can also be a wonderful addition to the positive energy of your space!
This space you have created is just for you. It doesn't need to look like any other space or idea of what a sacred space should look like. Be sure that your sacred space is used only for meditation and reflection. This way your mind is programmed to reach a peaceful state with ease when entering your space and the very room itself will hold the beautiful energy you have created during your time there.
Most of all, enjoy your special place! Ask others to be quiet and respectful if they enter, and be sure to spend plenty of time using it!
You will soon find that you want to spend more and more time there nurturing the good vibes and expanding your practice.

Empaths are spiritual beings that feel deeply. Empathy can be viewed as a challenge to some, or an amazing gift that allows empaths to truly understand another’s emotions.
Many empaths become healers, and become those who serve humanity due their gifts. They can feel the emotions and energy of others strongly, but they can also be negatively affected by these energies as well.
It is so important for empaths to take care of themselves well, so that they are not drained by the constant pull of outside energy.
If you are an empath, but have difficulty separating your own emotions and energy from those of others, often working with crystals can be a great way to ease the mind, protect your own energy and keep yourself from being overwhelmed.
Here are the top crystals that empaths can use to keep the good vibes around, and the negative energy at bay!
A beautiful pale pink stone associated with the heart chakra. It can help you remained balanced in this chakra, the seat of love, compassion and emotion. It is a great stone for self care and positive energy.
I always recommend this stone to empaths as it is a protective and nurturing stone. Those who are constantly feeling the energy of others can be drained when a needy or when some one is around that is operating on a lower more negative vibration. Black tourmaline protects your personal energy and even transmutes negative energy into positive.
Is a good stone for empaths that feel anxiety. It can aid with easing stress, encourage a peaceful sleep and enhance the energy of the stones around it.
A stone of harmony and calm. This crystal can inspire a deep peace and inspire a deeper intuitive ability, this way empaths can understand the difference between their energy and those around them.
Hold them, meditate with them, or simply keep them nearby to experience the effects of these crystals!

How to Use Your Crystals (What You Need to Know to Get Started)
Ever find yourself totally enamored with a crystal while you are browsing through a shop?
Ever feel an overwhelming need to have a very specific crystal necklace, even when you planned on just window shopping?
There is a reason why we are so attracted to crystals and gemstones. They hold millions of years of the earth's wisdom and energy. And each crystal, like a person, is incredibly unique.
Here are some crystal basics if you are just getting started with using crystals and crystal energy.
I always recommend simply using your intuition. It will never steer you wrong!
If you are in a shop looking for crystals, take time to walk around and touch any crystal that you are instinctively drawn to. Sometimes you will be attracted instantly and other times it might take a little more searching.
Let yourself roam and allow yourself to be called to the right one. Sometimes, nothing will call and that is ok too. It will!
If you are buying crystals online, still trust in your intuition. The right crystals have a way of finding you! Take a look at the color, the patterns, and the texture of the picture of the crystal.
What feels good to you is what is most important.
If you look at a crystal and feel the strong urge to touch it and interact with it, this is a good indication that it can serve you well.
Once you have the crystal (or crystals) chosen, you may want to cleanse them of any residual or negative energy.
Honestly, I do not personally believe that this step is completely necessary for the crystal but it is more for us! Remember, crystals have the wisdom of millions of years on their side. They know what to do!
However, this ritual can be very beneficial. If you feel like you want to cleanse your crystal, you can set it on a windowsill to cleanse in the sun or try setting it out at night on a full moon to cleanse in the moonlight.
Burying your crystals in the earth is another option, or you can cleanse your crystal with water as well. Please note that cleansing your crystal in water for some stones can actual be detrimental, so do some research to ensure your crystal will not be negatively affected by water.
To program your crystal after you have cleansed it, you can keep it nearby on a bedside table or your desk at work. If you feel like you need to take the crystal energy with you, pop it inside a purse or bag to keep it close. This helps you get to know your crystal. Take time to meditate with it or sit with it to begin setting your intention and energy with your crystal.
How you use your crystals is a personal choice and totally up to you! You can have wonderful benefits by simply keeping the crystal close and allowing it to be around you in your daily life.
Keep it at your desk, near your computer, at your bedside, in the living room, anywhere!
You may also use your crystals more actively by choosing to sit quietly holding them while reciting an affirmation or using them for meditation. Some people enjoy laying the crystals on their body on chakra points or wherever feels good for them. You can even set up a crystal grid to set a very specific intention.
Use your crystal in any way that resonates with you and you will reap the benefits no matter what you decide!
After working with crystals regularly you may even begin to feel subtle shifts in your daily life.
Be sure to enjoy it!

Kirtan for me is like a rock concert on steroids.
The energy. The movement.
The Being with so many other people in a space, breathing and singing and dancing in time!!
If you have never experienced a live kirtan before, I highly recommend it for all kinds of beautiful awakenings, blissful thoughts and often some serious wisdom from the artists themselves.
Today I wanted to share with you my top 5 kirtan artists that I think will melt your heart.
Their music, their vibe, their dedication to the Path is inspiring.
Wah!
She is number one for me. I gave birth to her chanting and my daughter (now 5) has been listening to her since then. There was a time every night we would listen to "Jai Maa" and I would ponder the wild journey of motherhood while rocking her to sleep.
Renowned musician and yogini, she delivers some serious humor, grace and wisdom during her concerts a well.
Deva Premal And Miten
I love these two! Deva has an angelic voice and the Moola Mantra is the perfect track for contemplation, meditation as well as hatha yoga. To me they are truly enchanting.

Krishna Das
There is so much to this man and his music! I have had some really amazing experiences during his kirtans. In between singing his stories of India are real, incredibly humorous and the occasional F bomb keeps the vibe down to earth too. However, it is amazing how serious and wise the message is in everything he speaks about.

Prema Hara
This is a group I have adored from the start. This man and woman duo create some of the most gorgeous mystical and heart melting music.
Snatam Kaur
A little more pop than I usually listen to, but there is something SO sweet about Snatam Kaur's voice and music. It feels fresh, full of devotion and so lovely to sit with at any point during the day to unwind and reflect.

Can you tell I have had the Chakras on the brain, in the heart, in my designs, everywhere?
Today we are exploring the Sacral Chakra.
The sexy chakra. :)
It's mantra is "Vam" like va va va voom! You know the feeling, yes?!
Ok ok. There are lots of other things going on in this chakra too, but today especially I want to encourage you to take a moment and focus on the needs of your body and your soul.
Simple words can shift how we are feeling in a day and you can use the above words above as affirmations.
The lower chakras are our foundation of awareness, so even though they relate to our physical experience, there is an essential balance that needs to emerge in order to awaken the higher chakras.
Ever have butterflies?
The sacral chakra is located in the "womb" area. This is an area of great emotion. (That place where you feel "butterflies" when you are nervous, emotional or fearful.)
Remember you are enough.
When you find yourself feeling this way too, it is time to remind yourself you are enough.
Allow and feel the feelings, know that it is totally ok, and let them go. Be confident in your Truth, even if it looks different than some one else's.
Get spicy.
Spice up your food, your love life, and try something new. SO important to move past blocks in this chakra.
Go orange!
Bright orange is the color associated with this chakra point. Visualize it, wear it, grab some orange flowers for yourself, burn candles or surround yourself with this color.
Be near or in water.
The element of water is also associated with this chakra. Find time to be near water or in water to bring this chakra into greater balance. Even taking a bath is a great way to connect to this energy center!
Try these out and let me know how it feels for you in the Facebook community!
In Peace, Love and Light,
Saraswati
